Housing for your internationally mobile employees

A relocation usually succeeds or stalls on something nobody budgeted for: the flat. An employee living out of a hotel, or one who signed a lease in the wrong neighbourhood from 2,000 km away, takes weeks longer to become productive — and sometimes leaves. Remoters gives you a local home finder in more than 220 cities who searches, views, negotiates and stays with your employee through to lease signature, in a language they're comfortable in. You keep oversight without needing to know each city's rental market.

What we cover

We work assignment by assignment — no framework agreement, no minimum volume. One search, one destination, one quote.

Transfer or secondment

Of an employee, with or without family.

International hiring

Candidates say yes more easily when housing is taken care of.

V.I.E. and recent graduates

Sent abroad, often without local bearings or a local guarantor.

Long assignments

A stable home rather than a string of hotels and short-term rentals.

Opening an office or subsidiary

With several arrivals in the same city, close together.

Returns to France

Expat employees returning to their role or taking a new one.

The service

What your employee gets

One named contact on the ground, matched to the destination and the employee's working language, handling the search end to end.

1

A scoping call that captures the real brief: budget, area, commute, schools, pets.

2

A search across the whole local market, including properties from the home finder's network before publication.

3

Viewings carried out locally, with photos, video and a written report — no repeated look-and-see trips.

4

Negotiation on rent and entry terms.

5

Help building the application file, usually the sticking point for a foreign employee with no local history.

6

Lease review and support through to key handover.

7

Optional settling-in help: utilities, bank account, insurance, arrival logistics.

The difference

Compared with a traditional relocation agency

Conventional relocation providers do comparable work, generally at a significantly higher cost and across a narrower geographic footprint. Three things differ here: a network of independent home finders already living in 220+ cities, matching that accounts for the employee's language and background, and per-search pricing instead of an annual retainer. Nothing is committed until a move is.

One quote per search

Each search gets its own quote, set by the home finder according to destination and complexity — typically €400 to €2,000 per search. Matching and the scoping call are free, and Remoters holds the payment until the service has been delivered. No subscription, no volume commitment.

Getting started

Getting started

1

You brief us

Send us the destination, the dates and the employee's profile. We identify the right home finder and set up the scoping call with the employee — they describe what they need, rather than someone deciding for them. The written proposal reaches you before any commitment, and you choose whether to proceed. Where several moves land in the same period, a single Remoters contact coordinates them.

2

Scoping with the employee

We identify the right home finder and set up the scoping call with the employee — they express their own needs, nobody does it for them.

3

You approve the quote

The written proposal reaches you before any commitment, and you decide whether to launch.

Several relocations in the same period? A single Remoters point of contact coordinates them all.

What we don't handle

We find and secure housing. We don't process visas or residence permits, we don't advise on expatriate tax or international payroll, and we don't carry out the move itself — though your home finder can point the employee to local providers. Companies need to know exactly where a service stops: ours stops at lease signature and settling in.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do we need a framework agreement or a minimum volume?

No. Each search stands alone with its own quote. You can use us for a single relocation or for many, with no retainer or commitment.

Who pays: the company or the employee?+

Either works. The service can be paid by the company as part of a mobility package, or directly by the employee where the company doesn't cover it.

Which countries do you cover?+

The network spans more than 220 cities across 60+ countries, plus France. If a destination isn't covered yet, tell us — the network expands in response to demand.

Do you support the employee's family?

Yes. Family criteria — size of the home, schools, neighbourhood, pets — are part of the brief, and they're usually what makes a remote search hard to run alone.

Do you handle visas and immigration?

No. Our service covers the housing search and support through to lease signature, with optional settling-in help. Immigration and tax matters sit with other specialists.

How much time should we allow?+

Allow a few weeks between launching the search and signing in a normal market. The tighter the destination and the more constrained the brief, the more it pays to start early.
