There are several ways to discover a destination: “do it” in a few days (ah, this famous one: “Oh yeah, you went to China, great! “Did you do Beijing?”) or really discover it by settling there.
At Remoters, we made our choice. And not just for the experience: We honestly think thatYou no longer have to cross the planet to check the top 10 of a Lonely Planet in less than a week.
We want to do our part and allow anyone who wants to live, for a while or for a long time, where they want in the world.
To enable this, the housing problem must be solved. What we see every day is that many people give up because they cannot find affordable housing (that is, at the local price) and for fear of being scammed. That's where our real estate hunters can help.
The idea for Remoters came to us after extended stays abroad, faced with the difficulty of finding a rental at the same price that the locals pay. It should be natural and easy, it's not.
- airbnb & consorts are too expensive, even for a long time.
- it is not easy to understand local real estate. Each country has its own particularities (and luckily!)
- by initiating your search remotely, especially on Facebook Groups, there is a high risk of running into a scam.
And yet:
- in every big city in the world, there are people from the French (or French-speaking) community who want nothing better than to help you.
- Being French and living on site is not a guarantee of seriousness or efficiency, or even of probity, it is therefore up to us to select the best people, and give them the means to work effectively.
That's how, in March 2021, we created Remoters.

At the time of writing, in January 2024, our hunters, based in around fifty destinations, are assisting a hundred people per month in their search for a property to rent abroad. The missions are all successful, our hunters find the goods in 8 days on average.
We are not going to write a block with all the values of the company, in which there would be words like “caring”, “open-mindedness” and “resilience”. We're saving this nonsense for our future IPO, but right now we're focusing on the essentials.
