Frequently asked questions

How much does the Remoters home finder service cost?

The price is set by each home finder and stated in a written proposal before you commit: most often between €500 and €900, around €600 on average. Matching and the first call are free, no platform fee is added, and your payment is held by Remoters until the service has been delivered. Full details are on the Pricing page.

Will I have access to the entire market?
There are three kinds of offer on the property market: agency listings, private listings, and listings scattered across local or specialist sites that are easy to miss. Searching alone, you will probably reach the first two, provided you know the right sites and avoid the trap of fake or stale listings. Our home finders bring you all three, each one verified before it reaches you, which means access to 100% of the market. Their main edge is speed: through their network of agencies and owners, your home finder moves as soon as a listing appears.

Home finder vs estate agent
For a property search abroad, what you need is a home finder. A letting agent works for the landlord, under a letting mandate. A home finder works for the tenant, under a search mandate. The agent looks for mandates to offer prospective tenants; the home finder has no catalogue. They search for a specific property matching a precise brief — yours — among private landlords and professionals alike.

How do I choose my home finder?

You don't have to choose one yourself: we match you with a home finder suited to your destination, your language and your project. Our home finders are vetted local experts — having lived in the city for several years, they know the neighbourhoods, the local customs and the traps of the market, and they work on your side, not the landlord's. You then approve their quote before committing to anything.

What if I want to become a Remoters home finder?

You need to know your city and its housing market well, have a local network, a service mindset and a genuine interest in helping people settle in. If that sounds like you, we can only encourage you to apply through the Become a home finder page: we would be glad to have you.
