During every in-person property visit in Cannes, the Remoters representative carries out a structured inspection covering the following points:
- Overall condition: walls, ceilings, floors, and paintwork — signs of damp, mould, or structural damage are noted.
- Windows and insulation: quality of glazing, draught-proofing, and natural light levels in each room.
- Heating system: type of heating (electric, gas, central), its condition, and whether it is included in the charges.
- Hot water and plumbing: water pressure, hot water availability, and the condition of bathroom and kitchen fittings.
- Electrical installation: visible state of the electrical panel, sockets, and lighting — any signs of non-compliance are flagged.
- Smoke detector: presence and operational status of the mandatory smoke detector.
- Furnished equipment (if applicable): inventory of furniture and appliances provided, and their condition.
- Building common areas: entrance, letterbox, stairwell, lift (if present), and bin storage area.
- Neighbourhood environment: street noise, proximity to transport, shops, and the student's place of study.
- Mobile and internet connectivity: network coverage inside the property is tested where possible.
